     Here at Dave's Auto and Tire Center we stress the importance of regular maintenance.  To the left is a picture from an engine that did not have its regular oil changes.  Yes those are engine parts and pieces lying there.  At this point the only way to save the vehicle was to perform a complete engine transplant.

     With the investment you have made in your vehicle it just makes sense to keep up with the maintenance by doing regular oil changes.   All vehicles require regular changing of the oil and changing of other fluids at certain maintenance intervals.  Some vehicles require transmission flushes, brake fluid flushes, coolant flushes, during the services that are performed based on the mileage of the vehicle.  Usually the major services are performed every 15,000 or 30,000 miles; though that does differ depending on the make and model as well as the conditions under which you drive.

     The Minor service--that is the oil change--is importatnt not only for itself, but because while the vehicle is on our lift there is an ASE Certified Technician looking under your car.  Often we can catch problems before they happen, minimizing your down time.  Also, to last as long as possible, your engine requires regular oil changes.  Stop in at the shop and check out our display of automotive fluids in various states; from clean and new to fluids that were asked to do their jobs much longer than they were able.  Imagine what you would look like after working for a week straight, without taking time to rest, eat, or refresh yourself.  That is what some people ask of their motor oil. I don't care what the television commercials claim, even the best oils an the market need to be changed.
